This page explains the sources and standards that underpin our journalism, how we handle challenges to our reporting, and what you can expect from us as an independent news publisher owned by Sacharchiv Media Ltd.
What do we rely on day to day?
We rely on primary sources, official records, direct interviews, and verified data from trusted institutions. Our reporters use Swedish government databases, Riksdag proceedings, Statistics Sweden, court rulings, and original documents to build every story.
The editorial team, led by Matthias Ziegler (Chefredaktör) and Julia Weber (Redaktionschef), ensures that each piece draws on multiple independent sources where possible. Specialist reporters such as Christian Schwarz (Politikredaktör) and Christina Kaiser (Wirtschaftreporter) maintain direct contacts in their beats, allowing direct verification of claims. Our fact-checking unit under Anna Martin (Ansvarig för faktagranskning) systematically reviews every article before publication. AI-assisted tools may support research, translation or formatting, but no automated content is published without human oversight – a principle detailed in our AI & Automation Policy.
How can you challenge our reporting?
If you believe an article contains an error, omission, or unfair treatment, you can challenge it directly by emailing our corrections team at corrections@sacharchiv.de or by using the formal complaints procedure described in our Complaints Procedure.
We ask that you provide the article URL, the specific claim you dispute, and your supporting evidence. Every challenge is acknowledged within two working days and investigated by an editor independent of the original piece. If a correction is warranted, we update the article and publish a notice explaining the change – see our Corrections Policy for full details. Readers who believe our reporting has breached our ethical standards may also escalate the matter to Matthias Ziegler as Chefredaktör. Sacharchiv does not require legal threats to take a complaint seriously; a calm, evidence‑based explanation is the quickest route to resolution.
What can you expect from us?
You can expect accurate, fair and transparent journalism, with every article written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor, and fact‑checked before publication. Sponsored or commercial material is always labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed.
Our Editorial Policy sets out the standards we follow: independence from political and commercial influence, clear separation of news and opinion, and a commitment to correct mistakes promptly. The Fact‑Checking Policy explains our verification procedures. We also publish a Sponsored Content Policy and an Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure so you always know the nature of what you are reading. Our team of named editors – listed on Our Team – is personally accountable for the output in their sections.
Who is responsible for the content we publish?
Ultimate editorial responsibility rests with Matthias Ziegler, Chefredaktör (anders.lindqvist@sacharchiv.de, +46 8 525 030 61). He oversees all editorial standards, publication decisions, and corrections. Day‑to‑day newsroom management is led by Julia Weber (Redaktionschef), who handles headline review, commissioning, and the daily editorial process.
Each beat has a dedicated editor: Christian Schwarz (Politikredaktör) for Riksdagen and national politics, Christina Kaiser (Wirtschaftreporter) for economy and markets, Oliver Winkler (Kultur‑ och samhällsredaktör) for culture and society, and Anna Martin (Ansvarig för faktagranskning) for fact‑checking and source verification. Every article published on Sacharchiv is attributed to a named journalist, and our byline policy is part of the Ownership & Funding page which also lists our corporate structure and revenue sources.
How do we handle mistakes?
When we discover an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. The correction is noted in the article itself, with a brief explanation of what was wrong and when the change was made. Significant factual errors are communicated to readers via a note at the top of the piece.
Readers can report errors by emailing corrections@sacharchiv.de or by using the contact form on our Contact page. Our Correction Policy is published in full at /corrections-policy/ and includes the timeframes for review, the types of corrections (minor vs major), and the procedure for requesting a retraction. No correction is made without the approval of a senior editor.
