Sacharchiv (sacharchiv.de) is an independent Swedish digital news publisher owned and operated by Sacharchiv Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar. Founded in 2024, the site was created to fill a gap in clear, practical coverage of Swedish news and current affairs for readers in Sweden and internationally who want context without spin or noise.
Why was Sacharchiv founded?
Sacharchiv was founded because most English-language and German-language coverage of Sweden falls into two camps: dry wire-service reprints or opinion-driven clickbait. Readers who want to understand Swedish politics, economy and society need a source that explains complex topics plainly without oversimplifying them. Sacharchiv delivers that: practical, fact-based journalism on riksdagen, regeringen, kommunpolitik, ekonomi, marknader, hushållsekonomi, kultur and samhälle. Our tagline – “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland” – reflects our core mission.
Who is responsible for what we publish?
Chefredaktör Matthias Ziegler (anders.lindqvist@sacharchiv.de, +46 8 525 030 61) sets editorial standards, makes final publication decisions and oversees corrections. He leads a named team of experienced journalists, each responsible for a specific desk. Redaktionschef Julia Weber runs the daily newsroom. Politikredaktör Christian Schwarz covers riksdagen and government. Wirtschaftreporter Christina Kaiser handles markets and household economy. Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Oliver Winkler edits culture and society coverage. Ansvarig för faktagranskning Anna Martin leads fact-checking and source verification. How do we handle mistakes?
Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. When errors occur we correct them promptly and transparently, publishing a correction notice that explains what was wrong and why. Our Editorial Policy and Corrections Policy set out the process in full, and readers are encouraged to contact us at corrections@sacharchiv.de if they spot an inaccuracy.
What you can expect from us
You can expect clear bylines on every piece, rigorous sourcing and a commitment to factual accuracy. We do not publish anonymous opinion or sponsored content disguised as news. How is our work funded?
