Richtlinie für gesponserte Inhalte

Sacharchiv (sacharchiv.de) accepts sponsored content under strict guidelines that preserve the trust of our readers. This policy explains how we label such content, how it differs from affiliate links, and how it never affects our editorial independence. Our commercial relationships are transparent, and every sponsored piece is clearly identified so you can tell it apart from our independent journalism.

What is sponsored content and how is it labelled on Sacharchiv?

Sponsored content on Sacharchiv is content that a third party has paid us to publish. It is always clearly labelled with a visible ‘Sponsored’ or ‘Sponsored by [company name]’ notice at the top and bottom of the page, and the label appears in the article metadata. The piece may be produced by the sponsor, by our commercial team, or by a combination; regardless, the label tells you it is not part of our independent editorial output.

We never allow sponsored content to mimic our news style or to mislead readers. The sponsor cannot demand that we remove the label, and we reserve the right to reject any material that does not meet our ethical or legal standards. All sponsored pieces are reviewed by a human editor before publication to ensure compliance with this policy.

How does sponsored content differ from affiliate links?

Affiliate links are embedded within our independent editorial content and earn Sacharchiv a commission if a reader buys a product. They are disclosed under our separate advertising and affiliate disclosure policy. Sponsored content, by contrast, is a standalone piece paid for by a third party and is not part of our editorial news coverage.

Affiliate links do not influence our reporting or editorial conclusions. Sponsored content, while created or commissioned by the sponsor, is still subject to our fact‑checking and legal review. The two are handled by different teams: affiliate relationships are managed by our commercial team, while sponsored content goes through a distinct approval process that involves both commercial and editorial staff.

Does sponsored content affect Sacharchiv’s editorial independence?

No. Our editorial team, led by Chefredaktör Matthias Ziegler and Redaktionschef Julia Weber, operates entirely independently of commercial partnerships. Sponsored content is produced or approved by our commercial department and never influences news coverage, analysis, or editorial decisions. Our mission – trustworthy Swedish journalism – remains unchanged by any commercial arrangement.

Our editorial mission statement, available on the editorial policy page, makes clear that commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored pieces are flagged as such so that readers can evaluate them accordingly. If a sponsor attempts to influence our independent reporting, we will terminate the relationship immediately.

What you can expect from us

You can expect full transparency. Every sponsored article carries a clear label, and our website includes a dedicated page explaining our advertising and affiliate disclosure. We also review sponsored content for factual accuracy and legal compliance before publication, using the same fact‑checking standards as our editorial content, including verification by our fact‑checking team, led by Anna Martin.

We do not allow sponsors to write in the voice of Sacharchiv journalists or to impersonate our editorial staff. Sponsored content may include the sponsor’s branding and messaging, but we require it to be honest and not misleading. We retain the right to reject, edit, or remove any sponsored material that violates our policies or Swedish advertising law.

Who can I contact about sponsored content?

Enquiries about sponsored content should be sent to our partnerships team at sponsored@sacharchiv.de. You can also use our general contact form at /about-us/contact/. Our commercial team will respond to proposals, pricing questions, and technical requirements, but they do not influence editorial decisions.

For press or media inquiries, please use press@sacharchiv.de. For complaints about a specific sponsored piece, you can reach our fact‑checking team at factcheck@sacharchiv.de or our editor‑in‑chief directly via the contact information on our Our Team page.
