Urheberrecht & Entfernung

Sacharchiv respects intellectual property rights. This Copyright & Takedown Policy explains how we handle copyright claims, image rights and removal requests. It applies to all content on sacharchiv.de, including text, photographs, illustrations and multimedia. If you believe your work has been used without proper authorisation, please contact our designated copyright officer at copyright@sacharchiv.de.

What content does this policy cover?

This policy covers all original editorial content published by Sacharchiv, including images, graphics, video, audio and written material. It also extends to user-submitted photographs, reader tips and licensed third-party media featured on our site. For full terms governing use of our content, see our Terms of Use.

We acquire images from commissioned photographers, licensed stock agencies, press wire services and direct submissions. Every image is credited and checked for licensing. If you spot an image that appears to be used without permission or lacks proper attribution, please notify us immediately.

How do I submit a takedown request?

To request removal of content you believe infringes your copyright or image rights, email our copyright officer at copyright@sacharchiv.de. Your notice must include your full name, contact details, a description of the work, the exact URL(s) on sacharchiv.de, and a statement of good-faith belief that use is unauthorised.

We process takedown requests in accordance with applicable law, including the EU Copyright Directive and the Swedish Copyright Act. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or ownership. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the content promptly and notify the relevant editorial team.

What you can expect from us

We take all copyright and image rights complaints seriously. Each request is reviewed by our editorial management, led by Chefredaktör Matthias Ziegler. If we determine a violation has occurred, we remove the content, correct the error and, where appropriate, issue a public notice linked to the original article.

If your content was used with a licence or under a fair‑use exception, we will explain the basis for our use. We are committed to transparency and will respond to every verified takedown request within five business days. For details on our correction and complaint procedures, see our Editorial Policy and Complaints Procedure.

How do we handle copyright claims?

We distinguish between valid copyright claims and mistaken or abusive requests. If we receive a counter‑notice from the original uploader or author asserting a valid licence or permission, we may reinstate the content after review. False or malicious claims may result in referral to legal authorities.

Sacharchiv Media Ltd., registered in Gibraltar, is the legal entity responsible for the site. Our copyright officer coordinates with legal counsel to ensure compliance. Claimants may also seek direct resolution through the Swedish Patent and Registration Office or relevant copyright courts. All decisions are documented and can be appealed via our contact page.

What about fair use or third-party content?

Where we use copyrighted material under fair‑use, quotation or criticism exceptions, we clearly attribute the source and limit use to what is necessary for news reporting or analysis. This includes thumbnails, short excerpts and screenshots used in editorial context.

If you believe a specific use exceeds fair dealing under Swedish or EU law, please provide detailed reasoning in your takedown notice. We will weigh your concerns against our journalistic mission and public interest. Our Ownership & Funding page explains how commercial relationships never influence editorial conclusions, including use of imagery.
